Media Development Server 3.5 and...

Hi

I installed the ''Adobe Flash Media Development Server 3.5'' and ''Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3'' and I want a LiveStreaming from my Webcam. Everythings works fine so far (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashmediaserver/articles/beginner_live_fms3.html) but the problem is that i can only see the live stream, when I am into network.. over the internet acessing the server works but the live stream doesn't show up.

Is this a limitation of the ''Development Server'' or a failure?

thanks,

pWAVE

The only limitation of the development server is the 10 concurrent connection limit. Other than that, the dev edition works exactly as it would if a license was installed. If you can connect from within the local network, FMS is working as it should.

Is there a firewall on the router? If so, you may need to open port 1935 (and 80 if you've configured FMS to listen on port 80) for incoming requests.

I added the ports to my rounter:

and edited Windows Firewall accordingly - but still not working to access over the internet - at least not the webcam ... if i enter htttp://[MY IP ADRESS]/ ... it is showing the adobe example page (so server is running) ...

any ideas?

For port 1935, you need to allow TCP. FMS uses TCP, not UDP.

is this ok now
