I have Downloaded and successfully installed Adobe PS, AE, DW and FL with no problem.?But I recently tried to download Adobe Premeir and Adobe Illustrator trials and my computer locked up.?It would not start correctly and I had to restore my computer to a earlier time.?After this I have been able to download the trial files but when the installation bar gets to the end it says that a component of (insert CS4 program here) was unable to install.?I have tried many times to install again with other products and with no programs whatsoever open.?Did me having to restore my computer have anythign to do with this?
Cannot Install Illustrator CS4 Trial or...I think it is just?glitch. Try installing fro a new user account.
But first uninstall the trial you have on your current user and use the uninstaller in the Applications/Uttilities?Adobe Installers/Add Remove Illustrator CS 4.
Why not install a trial of the Master Collection or Production Suite?
Cannot Install Illustrator CS4 Trial or...I would install the master collection trial but I really do not want to pay $15 for a trial.?It defeats the purpose.?But now a new problem has arrizen. When I go into control panel%26gt;uninstall programs and try to uninstall adobe illustrator or adobe premeire the uninstaller completes but with errors.?If I try and uninstall again the bar to the right where you select what you want to unistall dissapears and when I start the uninstall the program freezes up.
anybody?
Try to reinstall.
Well, you made a mess! (don't take it personally) Most likely the problems lies within the order in which you installed. There's an intricate web of interdependencies between shared Adobe components across programs and some of that is fragile, to say the least, so it breaks down when one install tries to overwrite or update some of those components. There's a reason, why there is a Master collection. You best bet at this point is to simply use the CS4 Clean Utility from the support pages to unregister all installer files from the database, then simply install the programs that so far you weren't able to get on your system. You can repeat this after every install or when something seems to have gone wrong, it really leaves the programs in place intact. The only downside is, that when you want to get rid of it, you will have to manually delete all directories....

Thanks a lot that did it!?Well except for Pr it jsut crashes at startup...
Crashes in Premiere are usually related to graphics card issues or problems with audio configuration. I'm sure someoen on the forums over there can give you some pointers, if you provide the hardware specs and any error messages you may be getting. I'm using the program too rarely to be of much use in such matters...
