Trying to figure out what version I have of PSE but can't seem to locate where it is written, Any help?
Where do I find the version of my PSE?On the Menu bar, click on Help and the list will contain an item ''About Photoshop Element'' or similar.
FYI, the About item is pretty much universal in all computer applications.
Where do I find the version of my PSE?I did that earlier and the only thing that comes up is basically a picture of the CD cover with the credits scrolling at the bottom of the picture. I think it is probably an old version from 2001.
Windows or mac? What does the icon look like? If you have windows, do you see a version number when you hover over the shortcut icon?
In my PSE main directory there is the file PhotoshopElements.reg which contains the version number in several places, 2.0 in my case. I don't know if this file is in other versions or has a different name.
View PhotoshopElements.reg with any text editor.
I use Windows XP. The icon looks lik a closeup of an eye and aface with some colored dots in the upper left hand corner. The version does not show when I hover over the icon. The reason I started looking for the version is because I recently watched a tutorial that was using a tool called a ''magic extractor'' to cut out part of a picture to move to another picture. My version did not have that tool when I clicked on ''Image'' It seemed like a cool, easy to use tool but it is not present in my version. I have a magic lasoo that does the same thing but not quite as easily.
You have PSE 1.
Good luck ocasan
when PSE opens (editor, organize) it tells the version.
or open HELP after opening organizer or editor,?and select ''about phosotoshop elemnet''
it will pop up a box with PSE info and version
