I tried to install Flash 10?- and it asks me to close the ''Dashboard Client'' of Mac OS X and after I click close on the flash install window, the installation fails. A message says that the failure occurs during ''run preflight script'' and to contact the software developer.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any fixes or way around it?!
Install of Flash 10 failing - ''run...same problem and it's a little frustrating.
any help out there??!!
Install of Flash 10 failing - ''run...I have exactly the same problem and don't know what to do about it. Heeeeelp... !!
I'm having the same problem, I don't know what the deal is.
I have not gotten this message, but there seems to be a Mac related issue with downloading Flash Player 10.?I've uninstalled, installed, installation says successful, Adobe site says I have the latest version, yet the plug-in does not show up in Firefox and I continually get a message that I need to upgrade. I've spent far too much try trying to figure this out, and videos play fine, so I am going to ignore it for right now. I am pretty good at troubleshooting, but this is beyond me.
Got the problem as well, a little bit frustrating, i have the problem with BOTH flash 10 and photoshop elements 3 why isn't adobe willing to help us? I think this is quite dissapointing when you take into account the software costs 鍗?100 I also have Mac OSX 10.5.7
HELP?
Zippy I get the same problem on my imac and macbookpro. Installation is successful but how to open flashplayer10 is a mystery. It does not show up. sometimes I get a message saying I need a new version. bizzar.
Well I glad I'm not the only one. I still can't figure it out.?/p>
Stupid question, but helped me the first time. Have you tried disabling Dashboard/Expose in System Preferences?
No I haven't tried that. Do you mean as I try to Install Flash? I have
noticed that when I close all my programs Dashboard is still open, but
how do I disable it?
System Preferences ==%26gt; Expose and Spaces ==%26gt; Expose
At the bottom it will have a box called Dashboard. Make sure there are no shortcuts available to access it. Also make sure there are no Active Screen Corners either.
You can always re-enable this stuff after Flash is installed.
Thanks very much I will try that! But not right now! It's late.
hi all
i tried turning off the shortcuts in system preferences, but dashboard is still ''on.''
then i found this
http://www.macworld.com/article/46236/2005/08/disabledashboard.html

somebody out there knows what's up.
